Renowned chef and restaurateur Mark Hix approached Strange Hill to implement a complete design and development strategy for the bars at his numerous restaurants.

Strange HIll worked as part of the HIX team with responsibility to develop and deliver the bar concepts, from the recruitment and training of staff through to managing the launch periods and interacting with the press and media.

Working closely to the HIX brief, the bar’s launch was specifically designed to showcase British products and featured an extensive range of possets, punches, cups and other mixed drinks from the British cocktail pantheon.

Strange Hill won several awards for the HIX bars including Time Out’s “Bar of the Year” for the HIX Soho site. Strange Hill’s involvement with HIX restaurants is ongoing and has seen the group expand over eight more sites including Tramshed, HIX at Selfridges, HIX at The Albermarle and at The Thompson Hotel in Belgravia.
