As part of our on-going work with Havana Club Rum, Strange Hill provided full event management, drinks and logistical support for the finals of the 2012 Havana Club Grand Prix in Havana, Cuba.
Taking place in the magnificent 9th floor ballroom of the Sevilla Hotel in Havana, the bi-annual Grand Prix was the culmination of a 2 year campaign to find the best bar tender and cocktail. Featuring 40 finalists from 38 countries along with over 250 dignitaries and other guests, the 2012 Havana Club Grand Prix was one of the largest events of its kind with the highest standard of drinks and skills competing for the coveted trophy.
Strange Hill provided full event management including venue liaison, selection of support staff, the design and manufacture of all event credentials, full production co-ordination, set up, scheduling and management of the two day event. In addition, Strange Hill provided the back stage drinks team responsible for sourcing all the ingredients and batch producing over 1,000 Mojito, Cuba Libre and Daiquiri for each day of the event.
Widely considered to be the most successful Grand Prix in the event’s 18 year history, Strange Hill are now working on the 2014 Grand Prix with Havana Club.
